Entry Level Communication Associate

People do their best work when information is clear, current and easy to find. We are hiring an Entry Level Communication Associate in Indianapolis to help keep employees and external audiences informed through accurate content, organized resources and well-coordinated communications.

This role offers an accessible route into professional communications for someone with strong writing ability and the discipline to manage details. You will work with subject-matter experts, turn their information into useful content and help maintain the calendars, knowledge pages and communication standards that support the wider organization.

Your assignment

Support a consistent flow of internal announcements, employee resources, recognition content and customer information. Every item should be accurate, appropriate for its audience and published through the correct channel at the right time.

What you will produce and maintain

• Draft and edit emails, announcements, short articles, presentations and digital-display content.
• Gather information from internal teams and confirm facts before publication.
• Update SharePoint or other knowledge resources so employees can find current guidance.
• Maintain communication calendars, review dates and approval records.
• Support employee recognition, engagement activities and internal events.
• Apply style and brand guidelines consistently across channels.
• Track basic engagement measures and collect feedback for future improvements.
• Provide project and administrative support to the communications team.

What you need for success

• Strong writing, editing and verbal communication.
• The ability to organize information and explain it in plain language.
• Good judgement when handling internal or sensitive material.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office; SharePoint, Canva, social media or CMS exposure is useful.
• A degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing or a related subject is welcome, but relevant experience or a strong portfolio can be considered instead.

Your employment package

The salary is $50,000-$58,000, with medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k), pension plan, paid leave and company holidays. You will receive editorial guidance, system training and development support as you progress toward Communications Specialist responsibilities.
