Job summary

White Bear Lake Area High School in White Bear Lake, MN seeks a Technology Education Teacher to teach woods and construction courses, with licensure in Minnesota required. A Tier 1–4 license is needed, and PLTW experience is preferred, to support students across the high school and area learning center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in teaching, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Tier 1, 2, 3, or 4 Minnesota Educator License Required.
• Construction Careers CTE License preferred.
• Experience with PLTW is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach woods and construction courses at White Bear Lake Area High School and Area Learning Center.
• Possess or obtain appropriate Minnesota licensure to teach technology education.
• Support a new and innovative high school building while serving a broad spectrum of students.

Position Summary:
Applicants with the ability to acquire a Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 Technology Education Construction Careers license should consider applying for the position. Applicants should be able to teach woods andconstruction courses at White Bear Lake Area High School and Area Learning Center.Experience with PLTW is preferred. A successful candidate has the opportunity to work in an new and innovative high school building while supporting a broad spectrum of school students and ensuring that all students can answer "yes" to the following questions: Do I belong here? Is this meaningful?Can I do this?
Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching services or specific learning program, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student's ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. Occasional oversight is exercised over Paraprofessional or Volunteer.
