POSITION DESCRIPTION

Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Communication Studies Department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Communication Studies instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW.

Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication;
• ORBachelor's in any of the above AND a Master's in drama/theater arts, mass communication or English;
• ORA valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as an Communications Studies Instructor in a California Community College;
• ORThe equivalent;
• ANDDemonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.
