Job summary

Jobtailor in Minnesota seeks an experienced supply chain professional to develop sourcing strategies for mechanical parts and assemblies, driving supplier performance improvements and cost savings. You will lead projects, support annual financial plans, and manage global supplier networks.

Responsibilities include mentoring Associate Commodity Managers, negotiating contracts, and coordinating strategic supply chain initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years in global manufacturing supply chain.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts and procurement.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.
  • Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Job description

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organizational strategy for mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements across global supply chain networks
  • Achieve cost savings and trade working capital improvements through negotiations, eSourcing, supplier selection, and short- and long-term strategies
  • Lead projects within assigned commodities
  • Support annual financial planning cycles
  • Manage diverse supplier groups, improve KPIs, and negotiate contracts
  • Assist with strategic operations and supply chain projects and initiatives
  • Support and mentor Associate Commodity Managers
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Five (5) or more years of supply chain experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided
  • Travel up to 15% domestic and international
  • Commodity management experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
