We are seeking a full-time Commissioning Engineer/Technician to join our dynamic and growing mechanical engineering consulting practice. We are looking for motivated candidates who can grow with this department. The selected applicant will conduct commissioning and retro-commissioning, and limited construction assistance services on a variety of property types. Experience performing commissioning on new and existing buildings is a requirement for applying to this position.
This position will require you to perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, multifamily residential, manufacturing, and institutional properties. This individual will be responsible for independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standards commissioning techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications. Additionally, qualified applicants will be capable of providing professional judgement and experience to delivier a technical solution and techniques for unique systems and construction situations.
The successful candidate may also be expected help perform commissioning activities such as construction document review, construction field installation verification, and equipment functional testing. Depending on project capacity, this candidate may also be expected to assist in limited mechanical assessments.

Physical RequirementsMust be able to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be prepared to encounter all construction site conditions, including noise, dust, heights, odors, and enclosed spaces, and be physically capable of traversing sites with unstable footing, stairs, rough terrain, adverse weather, ladders, roofs, and other mobility-challenging conditions. Must possess the physical ability to take measurements, perform tests comparing in-place work to contract requirements, and observe work activities throughout the course of construction.
