Job summary

Integra Mission Critical, LLC seeks a Commissioning Specialist to test and validate building automation and control systems, ensuring design and safety standards are met. You will troubleshoot sensors and controllers, calibrate systems, review diagrams, and collaborate with engineers and contractors across project phases.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, clear client communication, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls or related field or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in commissioning building automation or controls systems
• Proficiency with BAS platforms (Siemens, Johnson Controls, Reliable Controls, Honeywell) or similar
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and networking for control systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NEC, ISA, ISO codes and standards
• Excellent client facing communication and travel willingness
• LEED Accredited Professional and CCP or similar certification are a plus
• OSHA 1030 Safety Training and BAS manufacturer certifications

Responsibilities

• Commission test and validate BAS, HVAC and control systems
• Troubleshoot sensors, actuators, controllers and networks for proper function
• Perform system calibrations, tuning and adjustments for optimal performance
• Review wiring diagrams, control schematics and technical docs
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs and contractors during installation and turnover
• Document commissioning results and create test reports
• Provide training and guidance to end users and clients
• Ensure compliance with project specs, safety standards and regulations
• Support punch list resolution and system optimization during warranty

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join our team and support the successful delivery of building automation and control system projects. This role focuses on commissioning testing and validating systems to ensure they perform to design specifications safety standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented hands on and skilled in troubleshooting with strong communication skills to work directly with clients contractors and project teams.

What you will do

• Commission test and validate building automation HVAC and control systems
• Troubleshoot sensors actuators controllers and networked systems to ensure proper function
• Perform system calibrations tuning and adjustments for optimal performance
• Review and interpret wiring diagrams control schematics and technical documentation
• Collaborate with engineers project managers and contractors during installation and project turnover
• Document commissioning results create test reports and support project closeout activities
• Provide technical support training and guidance to end users and clients
• Ensure compliance with project specifications safety standards and industry regulations
• Support punch list resolution and system optimization during warranty period

Required Qualifications
