Job summary

Williams is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning for compressor stations, plants, and pipeline facilities across the energy assets. You will coordinate teams, plan activities, and ensure thorough execution with Operations and engineering partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 10+ years in operations, construction or commissioning for oil/gas assets.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering and 15+ years related experience in commissioning for oil/gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site commissioning for compressor stations, plants and pipeline facilities with Operations and contractors.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and implement Asset Commissioning Process.
• Schedule pre-commissioning meetings and mobilize teams to site.
• Communicate status of commissioning activities to project leaders and partners.
• Monitor commissioning progress against the site plan and adjust resources as needed.
• Support FAT testing, software/testing, and gas handling plans; coordinate vendor checklists.
• Coordinate outages and approvals with Operations and other functions; travel up to 50%.

As a Commissioning Project Manager, you will coordinate and carry out commissioning and startup for compressor stations, plants, and other pipeline facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a commissioning team through the commissioning process. You will use your organization, collaboration and communication skills to lead a variety of projects!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Assists and works closely with the team by providing on-site leadership to Operations, contractors, engineering, and support staff throughout the commissioning efforts
• Works with leaders and peers to implement the Asset Commissioning Process (01 91 11 C1 and C2) and helps coordinate commissioning activities
• Works with the project team and leader to schedule pre-commissioning meetings, staff commissioning teams, and help mobilize teams to site
• Communicates status of all commissioning activities to project leaders and other partners with guidance from leadership
• Continuously monitors the commissioning process against the site plan in order to make any resource adjustments as necessary
• Assists with development and execution of FAT testing, software testing, commissioning work plans (ACP), gas handling plans, and vendor checklists
• Coordinates work with Operations and other functional groups within the company to schedule all activities, outages and approvals necessary for the team to perform commissioning tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

• Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years related experience in operations, construction, or commissioning for oil/gas pipelines, meter stations, plants, or facilities
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or vocational school completion in a technical field and a minimum of fifteen (15) years related experience in operations, construction, or commissioning for oil/gas pipelines, meter stations, plants, or facilities

Other Requirements:

• Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other scheduling/supporting software programs
• Ten (10) years of commissioning management experience required
• Experience with constructing and commissioning new oil/gas assets
• Excellent teamwork, communications skills and shared ownership practices
• Outstanding skills in reading of engineering prints and other technical schematics
• Preferred: Prior leadership experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with natural gas midstream assets
• Preferred: Experience with multiple prime driver and compression equipment packages, end device calibrations, skidded and non-skidded ancillary systems and electrical/controls

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 50% #LI-AK1
