Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a senior PV systems specialist to lead performance analytics across PV power plants, including SCADA control systems and HMI verification. You will coordinate commissioning activities, work with the SCADA integrator and project managers, and ensure compliance and testing milestones are met.

You will prepare PPA/GIA/ISO testing plans, forecast test energies, and manage AVR/AGC notifications with customers and control centers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience involving utility solar power systems.
• Professional or graduate-level academic experience in utility PV systems helpful.
• Prior experience with SCADA systems of industrial plants/processes helpful.
• 2+ years of experience working with electrical grid participants such as Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators, and Balancing Authorities helpful.
• Ability to travel within the United States to project locations and Juno Beach, Florida, up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance analytics of PV power plant systems, including SCADA control systems.
• Prepare projects for PPA, GIA, and ISO testing.
• Manage test energy forecasts and AVR/AGC notifications with customers, the control center, and relevant external parties.
• Support IT and SCADA teams with functional checks.
• Develop commissioning schedules based on mechanical completion with the SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project Manager.
• Verify SCADA HMI functionality and accuracy with the SCADA Integrator and Commissioning Manager.
• Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD.
• Review performance data for deficiencies.
• Act as the Owner’s representative for PV system compliance, status reporting, startup, commissioning, and testing.
• Manage and report on commissioning work performed by contractors and vendors at project sites.
• Report to the Senior Project Manager.
