Job summary

LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, seeks an experienced Traveling Commissioning Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee MEP commissioning on mission-critical projects. Based on the construction site, you will lead LEED Enhanced Commissioning and Building Envelope commissioning, ensuring quality and performance across all systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6–10 years of experience in construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations on large scale projects.
• CX certification is a plus.
• Data Center Commissioning experience is a plus.
• Building Automation Systems (Controls) experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Commissioning software (CxAlloy, Nexus) a plus.
• Proficient in creating, reviewing, and presenting reports regarding commissioning activities.
• Experience developing plans and processing relating to commissioning for large scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review project documentation, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans and documentation, including schedules.
• Responsible for daily commissioning activities on project site.
• CX Leader on the project, chair meetings and coordinate CX activities.
• Mentor and coach junior staff on the CX process.
• Manage CX schedule and coordinate support from Field Superintendents, QA/QC, and CX Engineers.
• Coordinate with Operations and Project Management on schedule, budget, training, and issues.
• Inspect and test all equipment and systems for safety and project standards.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries with vendors and subcontractors.
• Perform pre-commissioning and start-up inspections.
• Audit CX paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate CX activities and onsite days with required team/vendors.
• Provide updates on commissioning issues to stakeholders.
• Prepare for transition to client after final inspections and commissioning.
• Manage Observations/Issue log through closure.
• Responsible for integrated system testing and compilation of results.

The Specifics of the Role
