Job description

LHH is partnering with a valued firm that is seeking to hire a Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality commissioning services across complex building systems, supporting projects from design review through functional testing and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities from design review through functional testing and project closeout
• Perform pre-functional and functional testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and BAS systems
• Coordinate with TAB, controls contractors, and project teams to ensure system performance meets design intent
• Review construction documents, submittals, and commissioning plans
• Document commissioning activities, deficiencies, and resolutions
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Commissioning Authority Certification highly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in commissioning, facilities engineering, or building systems
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and control systems
• Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, and owners
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel as required
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday

Travel

Up to 70%, based on project needs

Salary Range

Approximately $110,000-$120,000 annually, plus bonus
