Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation seeks an Active Commissioned MPD Police Officer to protect patients, visitors, staff and hospital property. You will enforce department policies and state laws across the hospital campus and must be able to work the midnight shift.

Responsibilities include enforcing security rules, monitoring access control systems, patrolling on foot and by vehicle, responding to alarms, documenting incidents, and maintaining logs with professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Currently Employed /Active (2) years Commissioned Police Officer, Sheriff’s Deputy, or State Trooper - Required.
• Completion of Certified Law Enforcement Training Academy - Required.
• OC or Pepper Spray, Baton Certification. CPR/BLS/De-escalation certification within 14 days of hire.
• Completion of CIT training and taser certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Enforces security rules and state laws to support hospital mission.
• Demonstrates professional communication and customer service.
• Monitors entrances/exits to prevent theft and ensure safety.
• Operates and monitors alarm, security, video management, and access control systems.
• Patrols campus on foot and by vehicle.
• Secures premises by patrolling and inspecting buildings and access points.
• Responds to alarms and disturbances following established protocols.
• Documents incidents and maintains logs.
• Maintains a satisfactory disciplinary record with the employing agency.
