Nordstrom in the United States is seeking a professional sales associate in Kids Apparel & Shoes. You’ll create a welcoming shopping experience, build lasting customer relationships, and meet sales goals while staying current on trends. This role requires a flexible schedule, strong communication, and a passion for fashion and customer service.

• Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools.
• Offer honest, confident style and fit feedback that earns trust and drives loyalty.
• Set and achieve personal sales goals, and stay accountable to results.
• Keep the department customer-ready, including stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, merchandise recovery, and bi-annual inventory.
• Stay current on product knowledge and trends to serve as a trusted style resource.

• Commit to a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods.

• In Kids Apparel & Shoes, you'll create a fun, welcoming shopping experience for parents, kids, and gift-shoppers alike. Build rapport, offer expert sizing guidance, and grow long-term relationships through follow-ups as children grow into their next sizes. Partner with expecting and new parents to help them navigate baby essentials, including shoes and baby gear.

• Physical Requirements:
• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which include reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Schedule

Hours vary by week based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holiday or event shifts. This role may also require occasional flexibility to support other departments.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$17.30 - $17.30 Hourly

At Nordstrom, the commission most selling employees receive varies based on the merchandise they sell. Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%. The commission Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive is 3%.
