Job summary

Keefe Commissary Network, LLC is seeking an onsite Operations Team Member to support a fast-paced distribution operation inside a jail/correctional facility in Norfolk, VA. You report to the Operations Manager and help unload, receive, and stock inventory while serving inmate accounts and client facilities.

The role is full-time with Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, offers daily pay options, benefits from day one, and opportunities for cross-training and advancement within a supportive team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience or training
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Familiarity with computers

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive and putaway product into the onsite warehouse
• Select product for orders and assist in delivery
• Inventory and maintain the planogram of vending machines at client facilities
• Handle inmate accounts and related paperwork
• Print checks and daily reports for finance and records
• Respond to inquiries from inmates and staff

About This Position

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

7am - 4pm

This position is onsite located within a jail/correctional facility and you will work around inmates. You will report to the Operations Manager.

Developing teams and building careers are central to our success. This is a full-time position, with some benefits starting your first day. We expect our team to complete several processes and therefore believe in cross-training our team across the distribution departments. You can also specialize in a specific area.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Unload, receive and putaway product into the onsite warehouse.
• Select product for individual orders and assisting in the delivery of orders.
• Inventory and maintain the planogram of vending machines at client facilities.
• Charge medical and damaged property to inmate accounts.
• Check indigent mail to make sure they were charged for indigents.
• Check emails and answer emails from in/outside of jail.
• Print checks to take to the Records department, property window, or send checks to other facilities.
• Print daily reports to give to finance.
• Handle state auditor's questions.
• Input booking money onto inmate accounts.
• Answer the Work Release captains and deputies' questions about inmate accounts.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

Compensation

• Regular pay raises based on performance and experience levels
• Regular opportunities for overtime, paid at the corresponding overtime rate
• Weekly pay, every Thursday
• Holiday Pay for company recognized holidays

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
• Familiarity with computers.
