SageSure Insurance Managers LLC is seeking a motivated intern to join the Rising Pioneer Program within our Commercial Underwriting team in Tampa, Florida.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting a growth-focused commercial property underwriting function, documenting processes, and helping scale an AI-based submission intake solution while collaborating with underwriting, product, technology, and actuarial partners.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student in business, insurance, risk management, analytics, or related field.
• Expected graduation May 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Property submission intake and related workflows.
• Document current processes and operating procedures across SageSure systems.
• Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and data quality issues.
• Assist with implementation and scaling of an AI-based submission intake solution.
• Track issues, milestones, and follow-up actions to support workflow execution.
• Prepare basic reports and maintain spreadsheets for operations.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product, technology, and actuarial partners on improvements.
• Develop recommendations to improve submission intake and underwriting capacity.
• Complete collaborative and Capstone project work on a Commercial operational challenge.
• Receive coaching and developmental feedback from SageSure professionals.

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an Intern to join the Rising Pioneer Program as part of our Commercial Underwriting team. Working with the Commercial Property underwriting team, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting a strategic growth area as the business expands products and markets, improves submission intake, and manages workflows across our systems. You will help document and strengthen operational processes, support an external AI‑based submission intake solution, and identify practical opportunities to reduce manual work so underwriters can focus on writing and retaining profitable business.

What you’d be doing:

• Support Commercial Property submission intake and related administrative workflows.
• Document current processes, business requirements, handoffs, and operating procedures across GeoVera and SageSure systems.
• Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks, manual work, data quality issues, and opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with implementation and scaling of an external AI‑based submission intake solution.
• Track issues, action items, milestones, and follow‑up activities to support consistent workflow execution.
• Prepare basic reports and maintain accurate spreadsheets that support operating and reporting discipline.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product, technology, and actuarial partners on process improvement initiatives.
• Help develop practical recommendations that improve submission intake, workflow handoffs, and underwriting capacity.
• Complete collaborative project work and an individual or team Capstone focused on a Commercial operational challenge.
• Receive coaching, mentoring, and developmental feedback from SageSure professionals

We’re looking for someone who has:

• An undergraduate education pursuing a degree in business, insurance, risk management, operations, analytics, information systems, or a related field.
• A graduation date in May 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to organize details, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on commitments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
• Curiosity, initiative, and an interest in learning underwriting operations and process improvement.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

• Prior internship, project, or coursework experience related to insurance, underwriting, operations, analytics, or process improvement.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience documenting processes, workflows, or business requirements.
• Experience using spreadsheets to organize, validate, analyze, or report data.
• Familiarity with project tracking, issue tracking, or continuous improvement concepts.
• AI automation, or workflow technology experience or coursework, including applied AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or workplace analytics tools.
• Interest in commercial property insurance and operational effectiveness.
