CRC Group, a leading broker and underwriting specialty insurance distributor, is seeking a Commercial Transportation Underwriter in Heber, UT. The role requires evaluating risks, pricing, and negotiating terms within delegated authority to drive profitable growth.

You will review applicants' documents, apply guidelines, collaborate with internal teams, and maintain thorough records while staying compliant with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or related field required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of underwriting or relevant insurance experience.
• Demonstrated applied knowledge of underwriting principles, guidelines, and practices.
• Experience in a collaborative, broker-focused service environment.

Responsabilités

This Commercial Transportation Underwriter is responsible for evaluating, selecting, and pricing insurance risks within established authority limits to achieve profitable growth. Utilizes underwriting judgment and company guidelines to assess risk, develop terms, and negotiate conditions that align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or related field required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of underwriting or relevant insurance experience.
• Demonstrated applied knowledge of underwriting principles, guidelines, and practices.
• Experience in a collaborative, broker-focused service environment.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS

• Progress toward professional designations such as CPCU or AU is preferred.
• Valid insurance license may be required in some jurisdictions.

• Proficiency in risk analysis and exposure evaluation.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and industry-specific data.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with underwriting systems and Microsoft Office applications.

The annual base salary for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Additional incentive pay is available for this position.
