Job summary

Acrisure, LLC is seeking an experienced New York Title Officer & Underwriting Counsel to review and clear titles for commercial real estate across New York. You will collaborate with attorneys, lenders, developers, and underwriters to facilitate timely closings.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in NY title work and a solid understanding of NY title insurance practices. JD is preferred but not required; on-site presence is encouraged to support collaboration and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial title experience in NY transactions.
• Thorough understanding of NY title insurance practices and commercial real estate.
• Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, and related documents.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review title searches, commitments, surveys, and related documents for NY commercial real estate.
• Analyze title reports and resolve defects, encumbrances, liens, and other issues.
• Coordinate clearance with attorneys, lenders, developers, underwriters, and others.
• Prepare and review title commitments and endorsements per NY practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure underwriting guidelines compliance.
• Assist in special projects as needed.
