Job summary

Wilks Tire & Battery Service, Inc. seeks a Commercial Tire Pick-Up and Delivery Driver to service our commercial customers and run weekly routes to locations in Georgia and Tennessee. You will load/unload mounted semi tires and maintain safety on the road.

Requirements include a clean, valid driver\'s license, being at least 21, ability to obtain a DOT Health Card, and willingness to drive 8+ hours per day within DOT limits. CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Report to Commercial Sales Manager.
• Physically load and unload tires for transport.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Report safety issues to management.
• Assist in keeping shop areas organized.

Commercial Tire Pick-Up and Delivery Driver

As a Commercial P&D driver you will work out of our Wilks location providing service to our Commercial Customers and make weekly routes to various location in Georgia and Tennessee.

(MUST BE ABLE TO TOW A 28FT GOOSE NECK TRAILER AND LOAD/UNLOAD MOUNTED SEMI TIRE- LARGE TRACTOR TIRES)

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Report to Commercial Sales Manager.


• Physically load and unload product for safe transportation.


• Properly and accurately check load invoice against product load and be accountable of process to management.


• Consistent work attendance, as it is important to be consistent with customer's delivery days and schedules.


• Clean and maintain delivery truck and trailer.


• Maintain and inspect truck and trailer regularly to keep a safe and well-kept delivery unit.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.


• Report any safety issues immediately to management.


• Help keep shop areas clean and organized.


• Maintain a professional appearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Clean, valid Driver's license


• Must be at least 21 years of age.


• Have or able to obtain DOT Health Card


• Physically able to load commercial truck tires onto and off trailer ramp (50 -150 lbs.).


• Ability to drive for 8+ hours per day within DOT limits.


• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.


• CDL a plus, but not required.
