Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Superintendent (Commercial TI Buildout) to plan, develop, and manage project schedules with the PM, oversee budgets and site activities, and coordinate subcontractors and vendors through design to completion.

Projects focus on restaurant, retail, commercial office and hospitality TI builds. Strong communication, organization, and vendor management are essential to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years in a commercial construction onsite-management role.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and jobsites simultaneously while interfacing with inspectors, subcontractors, architects, interior designers, engineers, city officials, and clients
• Proactive management of project schedules and budgets while interfacing with inspectors, subcontractors, architects, interior designers, clients, engineers, and city officials.
• Negotiation with subcontractors to receive reasonable budgetary costs (Experience in project estimation is preferred)
• Phone interview info during process

Responsibilities

• Great over-communication with client, subs & staff.
• Manage day-to-day subcontractor operations.
• Supervise craft employees including assigning job responsibilities and evaluating productivity.
• Ensure sequence of work follows Reverse Phase Schedule with quality and value.
• Review shop drawings, manage materials procurement, coordinate deliveries, ensure site accessibility, inspect work quality, and maintain a safe site.
