Job summary

Allianz Trade in the United States seeks an experienced surety underwriter to expand our portfolio across the East Region with strong broker relationships. You will underwrite, manage profitability, and collaborate across the Americas and with international teams to leverage capabilities.

The role emphasizes executing the strategic plan, documenting decisions, and engaging with local brokers to expand market share.

Responsibilities

• Work with Regional Surety Manager to execute the strategic plan for Allianz Trade's Surety business in the U.S. East Region (GA/FL).
• Develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio through broker relationships in the local market.
• Document decisions consistently and transparently.
• Underwrite accounts in line with portfolio management requirements.
• Collaborate with Americas and international teams to leverage surety capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with their Regional Surety Manager, executing on the established strategic business plan in order to maintain and expand Allianz Trade's Surety business in the United States within the East Region (Georgia and/or Florida).


• Developing and underwriting a profitable portfolio of Surety business through active engagement in the Surety marketplace with existing and new broker relationships in the local market.


• Documenting of all decisions and recommendations in a consistent and transparent manner.


• Conducting account and portfolio underwriting activities in a manner consistent with underwriting guidelines and portfolio management requirements established by Allianz Trade


• Collaborating with colleagues across the Americas and internationally in order to fully leverage surety capabilities and existing customer base.


• Attending industry groups and local surety events, as requested by the Regional Manager

Key Experience:

• Proven ability to underwrite and grow a Surety portfolio.


• Strong relationships with local brokers.


• Recognized expertise in the underwriting of surety accounts and risks.


• Proven track record of successful underwriting results

Key Requirements:

• At least 2years industry experience.


• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in surety in the U.S. in your local market.


• Entrepreneurial skill set to establish and achieve goals and objectives.


• Established track record developing business with brokers.


• 4-year college degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance.


• Looking for candidates who possess a basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.

Total Compensation range:

$90,000-$120,000

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary ranges are only one component of our total compensation package.
