Buffalo Solar is seeking a technically minded professional to own the technical and administrative execution of utility interconnection from application through PTO, working with NYSEG, RG&E, National Grid and project teams.
This role requires understanding of electrical power systems, debugging interconnection challenges, and ensuring compliance with IEEE 1547 and related standards, with a focus on delivering efficient, safe interconnection for commercial solar and storage projects.
Buffalo Solar is a commercial solar EPC specializing in distributed generation and battery energy storage systems throughout New York. We design, engineer, and deliver commercial rooftop solar projects ranging from approximately 50 kW to 2 MW.
We're looking for a technically minded professional who understands commercial utility interconnection—not just project coordination.
This role owns the technical and administrative execution of utility interconnection from application through Permission to Operate (PTO). You'll work directly with utilities, engineers, AHJs, and project teams to navigate utility requirements, technical reviews, supplemental studies, protection requirements, metering configurations, and commissioning.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, understands electrical power systems, and wants to become an expert in utility interconnection—not someone looking for a traditional administrative project coordination role.
Buffalo Solar is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
