Job summary

JB Roofing, A Tecta America Company, is seeking experienced Commercial Roofers to join the field team in Worthington, OH. This full-time role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial roofing systems with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

You will work with Foremen and peers, receive ongoing training, and have opportunities for advancement within JB Roofing and the Tecta America network. Overtime and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year roofing experience required and demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and repair commercial roofing systems.
• Must read and interpret basic drawings/sketches and follow safety rules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial roofing systems and accessories.
• Follow safety requirements including proper PPE and fall protection.
• Inspect roofing areas to identify damage and leaks.
• Determine repair methods based on system and condition.
• Complete work orders and plans from Foreman instructions.
• Lay out work and plan sequence for tasks.
• Operate roofing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain company workmanship standards.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial roofing systems and accessories.
• Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall protection.
• Inspect roofing areas to identify damage and locate leaks.
• Determine appropriate repair methods based on the roofing system and condition.
• Complete assigned work based on work orders, inspection reports, drawings, or Foreman instructions.
• Lay out work and determine the appropriate sequence and methods for completing assigned roofing tasks.
• Safely and efficiently operate roofing tools and equipment.
• Maintain company quality and workmanship standards.
• Work collaboratively with Foremen and other crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Perform other roofing and project-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required
• 1+ year of roofing experience required
• High school diploma or GED not required
• Ability to safely work at heights and climb ladders
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings, sketches, and diagrams
• Knowledge of roofing tools, equipment, materials, and safe work practices
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

Commercial Roofing Experience

Experience with multiple commercial roofing systems is highly valued, including:

TPO | PVC | EPDM | Modified Bitumen | Built-Up Roofing (BUR) | Asphalt

Candidates with 3+ years of roofing experience and broader commercial roofing knowledge are especially encouraged to apply.

Schedule & Travel

The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend or out-of-town work based on project needs.

During a standard workweek, employees are generally home in the evenings. When overnight travel is required, JB Roofing provides company-paid hotel accommodations and a daily meal stipend.

Physical Requirements

This is an active field position involving regular work on commercial rooftops. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; climb ladders; bend, kneel, squat, reach, and balance; work safely at heights and in varying temperatures; and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
