Job summary

Stones River Electric is seeking a Commercial Service Journeyman Electrician to support our growing national operations. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs in commercial environments across retail, office, and industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate can work independently, travel as needed (including out-of-town and overnight stays), and is comfortable using basic technology. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Experience operating a service van or bucket truck.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays.
• Comfortable using basic technology (iPad, etc.)
• Good communication skills and driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs in commercial settings (retail, office, industrial).
• Travel to project sites as needed and provide timely updates to customers.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment and vehicle in good working order.

This role requires a skilled electrician who can troubleshoot, work independently, and handle service work across commercial environments including retail, office, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-sufficient in the field, and able to take ownership of their work with minimal supervision. This position requires travel based on project needs, including out-of-town and overnight stays.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload in the field
• Experience operating a service van or bucket truck
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays
• Comfortable using basic technology (iPad, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Must pass drug screen, background check, and MVR
