Commercial Security Sales Representative

The Commercial Sales Executive will promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, establishing relationships and closing new business for Johnson Controls Security. This role involves ensuring customer retention and acting as the Johnson Controls Security "brand steward," effectively communicating the company's story and demonstrating its leadership in electronic security.

The Commercial Account Executive is responsible for securing profitable sales and upgrades to new, existing, and discontinued Johnson Controls Security Commercial customers. They will focus on improving customer satisfaction and retention through post-installation follow-ups. The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of our product line and services.

Key duties include:

  1. Adhering to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs, and services.
  2. Building new market share by selling security products and services to local commercial customers.
  3. Upselling existing accounts, including add-ons and system upgrades.
  4. Renewing customer agreements.
  5. Identifying prospects using creative lead-generation techniques.
  6. Maintaining productive relationships with existing customers.
  7. Establishing call plans and follow-up strategies independently.
  8. Following up with prospects.
  9. Maintaining in-depth product and customer issue knowledge through training and research.
  10. Acquiring referrals and working with Centers of Influence.
  11. Processing work orders and completing paperwork.
  12. Conducting post-installation follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent, excellent communication skills, ability to work full-time, and availability for local travel. Preferred qualifications include a college degree and at least 2 years of successful sales experience in security, IT, or technology sales with consistent quota achievement.
