Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Technician in the Western US to diagnose leaks, repair roofs, and perform preventative maintenance on diverse commercial systems. This hands-on role requires strong roofing knowledge, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently on-site.

Salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year, with a full benefits package, a company vehicle or gas card, PTO, and growth opportunities into Lead Technician, Foreman, or Service Management roles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial roofing experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and locate roof leaks.
• Knowledge of common low-slope commercial roofing systems.
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders, lifts, and fall-protection equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose roof leaks and identify the source of water intrusion.
• Perform commercial roof repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Complete service calls and emergency repairs.
• Inspect existing roofing systems and document deficiencies.
• Repair flashing, penetrations, seams, drains, curbs, and other roof components.
• Perform minor re-roof and restoration work as required.
• Document completed work with photos and service reports.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers and internal service teams.

Job Details

As a Commercial Roofing Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial roofing systems. This is a hands-on field position requiring strong roofing knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose roof leaks and identify the source of water intrusion
• Perform commercial roof repairs and preventative maintenance
• Complete service calls and emergency repairs
• Inspect existing roofing systems and document deficiencies
• Repair flashing, penetrations, seams, drains, curbs, and other roof components
• Perform minor re-roof and restoration work as required
• Document completed work with photos and service reports
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers and internal service teams
• Maintain company tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures
• Work independently or alongside other technicians depending on project requirements

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of commercial roofing experience preferred
• Previous commercial roofing service/repair experience strongly preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and locate roof leaks
• Knowledge of common low-slope commercial roofing systems
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders, lifts, and fall-protection equipment
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
• OSHA certification is a plus
