Job summary

Eskola, LLC in Memphis, TN is seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Foreman to lead the installation of architectural and structural sheet metal systems on commercial roofs. You will oversee a crew, enforce safety and quality, and collaborate with Project Managers to keep production on schedule and on budget.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial roofing sheet metal, strong blueprint reading ability, and a track record of safe, high‑quality workmanship; a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial roofing sheet metal installation.
• Prior experience leading a sheet metal crew or foreman role preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet driving record requirements.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation of sheet metal components per shop drawings and specs.
• Inspect installations for fit, finish, and waterproofing integrity.
• Supervise crew, assign daily tasks, and provide on‑the‑job training.

Job Description

The Memphis, Tennessee branch is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Foreman to join our growing team! This position is responsible for leading the installation of architectural and structural sheet metal systems on commercial roofing projects. The Sheet Metal Foreman will oversee a crew, ensure all work meets quality and safety standards, and collaborate with Project Managers to maintain production schedules and job site efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Sheet Metal Installation & Oversight

• Lead and perform the installation of sheet metal components, including coping, edge metal, downspouts, gutters, flashings, and custom fabrications.
• Ensure precise layout, cutting, and assembly of sheet metal materials in accordance with shop drawings and specifications.
• Inspect completed installations for proper fit, finish, and waterproofing integrity.
• Supervise and direct sheet metal crew members, providing daily task assignments and on-the-job training.
• Foster a team environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provide hands‑on leadership and set the standard for craftsmanship and performance.

Project Coordination

• Communicate and coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to align work schedules and resolve site issues.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and equipment required for installation.
• Interpret construction drawings, roof plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.

Safety & Quality Control

• Promote and enforce all OSHA and company safety policies, including the use of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Conduct job site safety inspections and daily toolbox talks.
• Monitor work for conformance to quality standards and correct deficiencies promptly.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily logs of work performed, crew attendance, and material usage.
• Report project progress, challenges, and safety incidents to management in a timely manner.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial roofing sheet metal installation.
• Prior experience leading a sheet metal crew or acting in a foreman capacity preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

Skills

• Proficient in fabricating, assembling, and installing architectural sheet metal systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
• Must be able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• This position primarily involves working on commercial construction sites.
• Occasional travel may be required to oversee projects at different locations.
• Must be able to work in varied weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.

Driving

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
