Job summary

Texas Roof Management Inc seeks a Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent to lead field crews on a portfolio of service and warranty projects from its Dallas, TX base.

The role requires strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, hands-on supervision, and a proactive safety mindset. Occasional travel within Texas and beyond may be required to support ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in commercial roofing.
• Knowledge of various roof systems, materials and construction processes.
• Must be able to physically access roofs.
• Good communication skills.
• Duties may require hours beyond 40 per week.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Willing to travel within state (primarily) and out of state occasionally.
• Familiarity with company software as required by management.
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crews follow OSHA and company safety regulations and coordinate with Safety Director.
• Perform quality control on work performed.
• Teach and share best practices for roofing installation.
• Monitor service stock inventory and liaise with estimators on materials.
• Schedule crews daily with Service Manager and discuss manpower needs.
• Communicate with Service Foreman to identify temporary leaks and arrange permanent repairs.
• Plan on-site project logistics with the Service team.
• Track job progress for all scope work and large projects.
• Direct communication with TRM management, service office team, and crews.
• Inspect daily work and instruct foremen on roofing techniques and fixes.
• Oversee JHAs and daily reports for the service team.
• Maintain a quality performance board for each crew.

Job description

Position: Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent with experience in all phases of commercial roofing service projects including experience with all major commercial roofing systems. The Service Superintendent needs the ability to effectively lead, manage and support field employees in day-to-day activities across a portfolio of WO's and service scope projects. This position is based out of Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:

• Ensure crews are adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations. Maintain open communication with the TRM Safety Director.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Willing to teach and learn best practices for roofing installation
• Maintain a system for monitoring service stock inventory and communicate with service estimators regarding materials for all scope work
• Work with service coordinator to schedule crews daily and discuss manpower needs for upcoming projects with Service Manager
• Communicate with Service Foreman so that all temporary leak repairs are identified and permanent repairs made in a timely manner
• Plan all on-site project logistics with Service team.
• Monitor job progress and follow-up on all scope work and large projects
• Direct communication with TRM management, service office team, and crews
• Inspect work performed throughout the day and instruct foreman and helpers on proper roofing techniques/best practices and correcting work being performed improperly
• Oversee Service JHAs and daily reports.
• Update and maintain a quality performance board for each crew
• Maintain crew weekly hours, including payroll verification. Maintain knowledge of employee vacation.
• Perform roof inspections. Maintain a thorough line of communication with Service Estimator as it pertains to the roof inspection reports.
• Perform Foreman and Service Technician evaluations.
• Verify that codes are being entered correctly in work orders.
• Review and approve materials and labor for completed work orders adding any missing items
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
• While visiting jobsites review surrounding roofs and collect any information available, including address, property management company, and any deficiencies observable from the roof you are currently on. Send any photos/information to Service Estimator so he can determine appropriate contact.

Requirements:

• 5-years' experience in a supervisory role in commercial roofing
