Job summary

Empire Roofing, a Tecta America Company, seeks a Commercial Roofing Service Manager for our Nashville shop. This role leads the service department, ensuring safety, profitability, and top-tier customer service.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and collaboration with field crews and other departments. You should have strong roofing knowledge, be able to estimate and sell, read blueprints, and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or experience with all types of roofing.
• Able to sell, estimate and develop new business.
• Able to read blueprints and understand specifications.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong oral and written communications skills; able to write reports/scopes/proposals.
• Ability to manage a TEAM/department of 10+ individuals.
• Proficient in professional communication with customers and within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and establish objectives for the duties assigned.
• Oversee flow of documents including final invoice/estimation and delivery of proposals.
• Review estimates, inspections, letters, scopes, proposals and invoices for service work.
• Monitor and coach subordinates; manage staffing within guidelines.
• Hire/fire within policy; coordinate with HR.
• Maintain open communication with customers, management, and employees.
• Schedule and coordinate field crews and office staff to ensure timely service.
• Develop and execute departmental sales plans and meet customer service goals.
• Assist in collecting past due accounts for service work.
• Attend meetings with owners, managers, and contractors for new work and inspections.
