Job summary

Baker Roofing Company is seeking a Roofing Foreman to lead daily jobsite operations and guide roofing crews in installing and maintaining commercial roofing systems. You will oversee safety, quality, and productivity on projects using TPO, EPDM, PVC, and metal materials.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of commercial roofing and a solid understanding of blueprints, planning, and coordination with contractors and clients. This role is on-site and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 3+ years in commercial roofing; foreman experience a plus.
• Driver's license required.

Position Summary

As aRoofing Foreman, you willperform andoversee theinstallation, repair, andmaintenance ofcommercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and other low-slope roofing materials.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School/G.E.D preferred, but not required


• Experience: 3+years of Commercial Roofing, Foreman experience is a plus


• Driver's License: Required

• Ability to plan daily work, assign responsibilities, and manage labor productivity.


• Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and project plans.


• Ability to estimate material needs, manage inventory, and minimize waste.


• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


• Effective verbal and written communication with customers, subcontractors, project managers, and internal teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily jobsite operations and direct roofing crews to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.


• Review project scope, drawings, specifications, schedules, and production goals before work begins.


• Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite inspections.


• Ensure all crew members follow OSHA regulations and Baker Roofing safety policies.


• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maximize productivity.


• Monitor material deliveries, inventory, and storage to minimize delays and waste.


• Install, repair, and oversee commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and related assemblies.


• Ensure proper installation of insulation, vapor barriers, flashing, waterproofing systems, edge metal, and roof accessories.


• Perform quality inspections throughout each phase of the project to verify workmanship and manufacturer specifications.


• Identifyand resolve field issues quickly while communicating project impacts to management.


• Meet with general contractors, customers, inspectors, and project managers to coordinate work andmaintainpositive relationships.


• Complete daily reports, labor tracking, timesheets, production updates, and other required documentation.


• Monitor andmaintaincompany vehicles, tools, and equipment, reporting maintenance needs promptly.


• Mentor, train, and develop crew members while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.


• Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites throughout the project.


• Conduct final quality inspections, complete punch lists, and ensure projects are fully complete before turnover.


• Participate in planning meetings, manufacturer training, and ongoing professional development.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds.


• Requires the ability to stand, walk, and balance forlong periodsof time.


• Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.


• Requires seeing details at close range.


• Requires repetitive movement, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling.


• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

• Exposure to extremely bright or inadequate lighting.


• Working in temperatures above 90°F or below 32°F.


• Exposure to loud, distracting, or uncomfortable noise levels.


• Exposure to contaminants, hazardous materials, and potentially hazardous equipment.
