Commercial Roof Canvasser
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Compensation: Hourly Wage + Bonuses per closed sale
About the Role
We are seeking a driven, self-motivated, and personable Commercial Roof Canvasser to join our business development team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, engaging directly with local business owners, property managers, and facility executives to uncover new opportunities.
This is not a traditional closing sales role; your primary objective is to generate interest, identify commercial properties in need of roofing services, and secure qualified appointments for our expert estimating team. If you enjoy being out in the field, talking to people, and controlling your earning potential, this role is for you.
Why You’ll Love This Position
- Financial Stability + Growth: Enjoy the security of a reliable hourly wage while unlocking additional earning potential through a sales commission structure.
- Direct Impact: Your hustle directly fuels our pipeline. When an appointment you set turns into a contract, you earn extra money.
- Autonomy: You won't be chained to a desk. You will spend your day in the field, managing your own territory and mapping out your prospecting strategy.
- Growth Opportunities: We provide comprehensive onboarding to teach you about commercial roofing systems, helping you build skills that can lead to advanced sales or management career paths.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Independently prospect, identify, and visit commercial buildings, industrial parks, and retail centers to locate potential roofing projects.
- B2B Canvassing: Conduct face-to-face cold outreach to business owners and property managers to discuss the importance of preventative roof maintenance, inspections, and restorations.
- Appointment Setting: Secure qualified inspection appointments for our commercial roofing estimators.
- Data Entry: Accurately log your daily field activity, gatekeeper details, and lead information into our CRM tracking system.
- Brand Representation: Maintain a highly professional appearance and helpful demeanor while representing the company in the community.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in face-to-face marketing, door-to-door canvassing, customer service, or B2B sales is preferred, but an outgoing personality and a strong work ethic are most important.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to build quick rapport and confidently handle objections.
- Drive & Resilience: Highly self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable initiating conversations with decision-makers.
- Technical Comfort: Ability to use smartphone apps or tablets to log lead data while working in the field.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle for traveling to local territories, and a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
Flexible work from home options available.
