Job summary

Magnifi Financial is seeking a loan support professional to work closely with Commercial Banking Officers and teams. You will help service diverse commercial portfolios, gather and review loan documentation, and ensure funding and closing comply with Magnifi Financial policies and regulations.

You will assist with deposits, loans, and other services, communicate status updates to members and staff, and maintain accurate lending files.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business-related field is required or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of commercial banking experience preferred, in a financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Assists commercial members in loans, deposits, and other services in person.
  • Communicates loan, deposit and service status/updates to members and staff.
  • Maintains and reviews commercial lending files for accuracy and up-to-date documentation.
  • Inputs data for loan requests, renewals, ad hocs, change memos and annual reviews.
  • Monitors lending reports and ensures proper documentation is included.
  • Gathers financials and documentation from members for loan requests.
  • Maintains member relationships through follow-up calls and emails.
  • Assists with preparation of new loan requests and extensions.
  • Obtains required documentation to meet loan closing conditions.
  • Monitors covenant violations and notifies lenders as needed.
  • Disburses and mails proposal/commitment letters and adverse actions.
  • Obtains third-party items for closing (title work, appraisal, environmental risk assessment, insurance).
  • Supports SBA and Government Guarantee loans; suggests process improvements.

Education

Associate’s degree in business-related field
Three years of commercial banking experience

Position Summary

Works closely with the Commercial Banking Officer(s), Commercial Processing Team, Commercial Servicing Team, Commercial Post Close and Branch Staff. Responsible for servicing diverse commercial portfolios and building and maintaining member relationships. Assists in gathering and reviewing loan documentation for accuracy to ensure funding and closing comply with Magnifi Financial policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.

  • Provides assistance in-person to commercial members in all areas of the member relationship with Magnifi Financial including loans, deposits, and other services.
  • Effectively communicates to the commercial member, Commercial Banking Officer (CBO) and support staff teams on loan, deposit and services status/updates.
  • Assists, directly and indirectly, with maintaining assigned CBO(s) deposit & loan portfolios.
  • Maintains existing member commercial lending files by reviewing files and monitoring lending reports and ticklers to assure that proper documentation is included and up to date.
  • Inputs data for all loan requests, renewals, ad hocs, change memos and annual reviews into the lending system.
  • Monitors lending reports to ensure that proper documentation is included and up to date, also maintains existing member commercial lending files by reviewing files for accuracy & completion.
  • Works with members to collect financials and documentation needed to complete the loan request.
  • Enhances member relationships through follow‑up communication to include outbound calls & emails.
  • Serves members through multiple channels including in branch, online and over the phone.
  • Assists with the preparation of new loan requests and extensions as required.
  • Requests documentation needed from the member to ensure all conditions are met for the loan closing.
  • Assists with covenant monitoring and notifies lenders of violations.
  • Prepares, disburses and mails proposal/commitment letters and adverse actions.
  • Orders, receives and reviews all 3rd party items needed for closing (title work, appraisal, environmental risk assessment, insurance).
  • Requests disbursements/loan advances, subordinations, partial releases, satisfactions and fee reversals.
  • Maintains a significant level of knowledge and understanding of loan documentation, credit policy and state and federal regulations.
  • Keeps abreast of rules, regulations and Magnifi Financial policy relating to member commercial loans.
  • Works with CBO to monitor construction loan process, including following procedures to disburse funds to appropriate parties and collecting lien waivers.
  • Uses the sales process to identify and recommend Magnifi Financial products and services to members based on financial need. Makes referrals to appropriate departments.
  • Assists with Small Business Administration (SBA) and Government Guarantee loans.
  • Suggests, and helps implement, process improvements to improve departmental efficiencies.
  • Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $24.39/hr. through $36.59/hr.

Salaries vary based on factors such as location, internal equity, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.

Total compensation package varies based on position and may include bonuses, performance-based incentives, commission, and/or discretionary bonuses.
