Smart Care Equipment Solutions in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to high-quality service.

You will diagnose systems, perform preventive maintenance, and work on walk-in units, ice machines, and refrigerated cases.

Qualifications

Experience with commercial refrigeration systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to diagnose problems using meters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
EPA Section 608 certification is required.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to lift equipment and work in confined spaces and hot/cold environments.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems and related equipment.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Work on walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, display cases, and prep tables.
Check refrigerant levels, locate leaks, and perform refrigerant recovery and charging.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate solution to customers.
