Job summary

6 Degrees Search seek s an experienced Commercial Real Estate Lending Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its Plantation, FL office. You will represent lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions and work closely with their Real Estate and Commercial Lending & Finance practices.

You will manage transactions from inception through closing. A portable book of business is strongly preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, secured lending, or related transactions, primarily in Florida.
• Portable book of business strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders in commercial mortgage, construction, bridge, mezzanine, syndicated, and other secured financing transactions.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and close complex financing transactions.
• Prepare and negotiate loan agreements, mortgages, security agreements, guaranties, intercreditor agreements, and related documents.
• Manage transaction due diligence, including title, survey, lease, zoning, organizational, and collateral matters.
• Advise clients on deal structure, risk, collateral, and financing terms.
• Coordinate closings and work directly with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, and other transaction professionals.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to client development and business development efforts.
