The Powertech Project Manager/Estimator is a strategic, results-driven partner that leads large-scale electrical projects, drives cross-functional alignment, and delivers operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing project management teams, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring quality, safety, and profitability across all initiatives. The Project Manager/Estimator will work closely with executive leadership and clients to manage complex project lifecycles, from planning through execution while mentoring teams, refining processes, and making critical decisions that impact both customer satisfaction and business performance. What You’ll Do:
- Provide exceptional support to internal and external customers, serving as a reliable point of contact for project-related needs.
- Actively assist the project management team by taking ownership of various administrative and coordination tasks that keep projects on track.
- Track and monitor project budgets, process expenditures, and ensure timely submission of accounts payable. Provide monthly cost-to-complete forecasts and labor/cash flow projections to maintain financial accountability.
- Prepare and submit change order requests, manage supporting documentation, and ensure compliance with contract terms and company standards.
- Participate in developing and executing project work plans, procurement strategies, and schedules, while identifying and implementing efficiency improvements across project processes.
- Support the full project lifecycle, from kick-off to closeout, by coordinating schedules, tracking deliverables, submitting final documentation, and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Facilitate or help organize project meetings to review progress, address scheduling conflicts, and develop mitigation strategies for potential delays.
- Conduct regular job-site visits to coordinate efforts with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring alignment on execution and expectations.
- Maintain accurate records, including permits, progress reports, compliance documents, and closeout certificates.
- Participate in post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide backup support on general administrative duties as needed, contributing to a smooth and efficient project environment.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years project coordination or administrative support within a construction environment required; electrical project coordination experience preferred.
- Proven ability to stay organized and detail-oriented while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, project schedules, earned value management, and budget tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Resourceful and proactive—able to identify potential issues early and implement practical solutions.
- Experience with procurement processes, cost control, and project documentation workflows.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications are a plus.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a MVR, background check and drug screening.
- Availability required Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
