Job summary

WRCB Local 3 News seeks a Commercial Producer/Director to write, shoot, and edit high-quality commercials for local advertisers. You will collaborate with Marketing Specialists to ensure the message fits the client and budget while delivering on tight timelines.

Responsibilities include conceptualizing scripts, coordinating shoots, and presenting professional communication with clients and teams. A flexible schedule with occasional evenings or weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and storytelling ability for video.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task, take constructive direction, and remain calm under pressure.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. to support on-location shoots.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to occasionally work nights or weekends.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro and After Effects Artist).
• Experience operating cameras, lighting kits, microphones, audio boards, and video routers.
• Working knowledge of television station operations and non-linear editing systems.
• Comfortable with basic lighting and camera techniques.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Associate or bachelor's degree in television production, Broadcasting, or a related field (Preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in video production or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on training (Required)
• Experience producing commercials for television (Preferred)

Other Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Required)
• Ability to work occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.
