Job summary

Maine Community Bank in Gorham, ME, is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to support Commercial Banking Officers by focusing on credit administration and portfolio management. You will help manage growth, risk and profitability of a commercial loan portfolio including analysis, term sheets, closings, and annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably or five or more years of commercial credit underwriting experience including commercial and industrial and commercial investment real estate borrowers; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
• Ability to comply with all Bank policies and procedures, including BSA and Information Security policies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect the Bank by keeping information concerning Bank operations and customer information confidential.
• Good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products and other Bank software.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the management of existing commercial relationships by monitoring for risk within the assigned portfolio.
• Responsible for ongoing maintenance of loan tickler system and ensures loan and relationship accuracy across Bank software.
• Meets with Commercial Banking Officers to coordinate current and upcoming tasks.
• Analyzes the business credit applicant’s capacity to repay with collateral support and environment.
• Prepares loan presentations and drafts commitment letters for approved loans.
• Identifies opportunities for additional Bank services within existing relationships.
• Assists in reviewing construction loan advances and line of credit advances.
• Conducts property inspections and prepares internal real estate evaluations.
