Job summary

Upchurch, a rapidly growing building engineering company, is seeking an Apprentice Plumber to train under Journeyman and Master Plumbers on large commercial projects such as schools, hospitals, and office buildings.

Applicants must possess a current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License at the time of application, with a preference for 3+ years of commercial plumbing construction experience. The role welcomes a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and career growth.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License required.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial plumbing construction experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and vent piping.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and plumbing components according to project requirements.
• Assist with underground rough‑in, above‑ground rough‑in, fixture installation, and final trim‑out activities.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site requirements.
• Attend apprenticeship training and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members while demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop trade skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
