Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Commercial Plumber on the 2nd shift to help design, build, activate and maintain SpaceX’s advanced manufacturing facilities. As a Mechanical Technician, you will collaborate with infrastructure engineers and technicians to solve complex problems and ensure reliable service for employees and customers.

You will perform HVAC and plumbing maintenance, read schematics, operate lifts and cranes, and uphold safety and building codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Technical certification, journeyman, or master in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to maintain systems in peak operating condition.
• Maintain HVAC support equipment on facilities systems.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Open, track and resolve electronic work tickets.
• Operate equipment and lifts safely.
