BCH Mechanical, L.L.C. is hiring for a Commercial Pipefitter in our Largo, FL shop. You will read blueprints, measure and prepare pipe, and fabricate piping systems for HVAC and commercial mechanical projects.

Responsibilities include assembling piping components, coordinating with welders and field crews, and maintaining quality and safety standards while meeting project deadlines. Training and career growth opportunities are available in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and project drawings.
• Ability to measure, cut, thread, groove, bevel and prepare pipe components.
• Fabricate and assemble piping systems for commercial mechanical/HVAC applications.
• Work with various pipe materials, sizes, fittings, valves, and related components.
• Perform accurate layout, take measurements, and verify dimensions.

• Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, isometric drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bevel, and prepare pipe and piping components according to project requirements.
• Fit, align, assemble, and fabricate piping systems for commercial mechanical and HVAC applications.
• Work with various pipe materials, sizes, fittings, valves, and related components.
• Perform layout, take measurements, and verify dimensions to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Prepare piping assemblies for welding, installation, shipment, or delivery to job sites.
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely, including pipe threaders, grooving machines, cutting equipment, and other fabrication machinery.
• Identify material requirements and assist with organizing and tracking shop inventory.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Coordinate with shop supervisors, welders, fabricators, and field installation crews to meet project deadlines.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move pipe, fittings, tools, and materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
