Orkin is seeking a Commercial Pest Control Technician in Lenexa, KS. You will safely provide top-tier protection for customers on a designated route, starting with award-winning training that covers all required skills and safety practices.

You’ll operate a company vehicle, report with a handheld device, and engage customers to explain actions and additional services to ensure peace of mind. The role emphasizes professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving across residential and commercial

Qualifikationen

• Paid Training Provided
• Experience in the skilled trades or service industry is preferred
• Experience in a professional driving/route management role preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with our great customers inside their businesses and/or homes

• Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer’s property—don’t worry, we teach you how!
• Communicate with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services that would give them peace of mind about their pest management program
• Complete all required service-related documentation in a handheld device provided for speed and accuracy

Responsibilities

The Commercial Pest Control Technician commits to safely and professionally providing the highest level of protection and service to their customers on a designated service route. Their career starts with in-depth, award-winning training that prepares them with the skills needed to succeed in the responsibility of daily route operations, scheduling, issue diagnosis and treatment planning. With each customer, Orkin Pros work to understand problems and do the right thing to resolve them.

What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
