Job description

Commercial Partnerships & Operations Director

Remote - USA

At Counterpart Health (CPH), we are transforming healthcare and improving patient care with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant (CA). By supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), we are able to deliver improved outcomes to patients at a lower cost through early diagnosis and longitudinal care management of chronic conditions.

We're seeking a Commercial Partnerships & Operations Director to shape and drive key commercial initiatives and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Innovations & Partnerships, you'll partner closely with CPH leadership, owning a portfolio of high-impact initiatives and external partnerships.

This role is a senior individual contributor who is a highly organized, analytical, and execution-focused operator who can move fluidly between the details of execution and the strategic context, bringing forward recommendations and insights that shape leadership decisions. You'll lead cross-functional programs, keep priorities on track, align stakeholders, manage external relationships, and deliver the insights and materials needed to support strategic decisions and accelerate Counterpart Health's growth and execution capabilities.

As a Commercial Partnerships & Operations Director, you will:
  • Lead high-priority commercial initiatives: Own the execution of high priority cross-functional programs by defining project plans, tracking milestones, mitigating risks, resolving dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery of strategic outcomes.
  • Drive cross-functional execution: Lead efforts across Commercial, Product, Engineering, Clinical, Operations, Legal, and external partners to align stakeholders, maintain momentum, and deliver on commitments.
  • Manage strategic partnerships: Own key external partnerships by establishing governance, aligning strategic objectives, driving executive engagement, resolving risks, and ensuring successful execution throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Deliver business insights: Develop and lead analytical models, dashboards, and performance trackers to monitor results, generate insights, and inform commercial decision-making.
  • Prepare executive communications: Develop executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations that frame strategic options, clarify tradeoffs, and guide decisions by leadership and external partners.
  • Strengthen program execution: Translate enterprise commercial priorities into actionable plans with defined owners, timelines, deliverables, and accountability while proactively identifying and resolving execution risks.
  • Enhance operational effectiveness: Design and implement scalable processes, tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms that improve coordination, visibility, and execution across the Commercial Innovations & Partnerships team.
  • Serve as a trusted operator: Serve as a trusted commercial advisor by anticipating enterprise risks, challenging assumptions, recommending solutions, and maintaining alignment across multiple high-stakes initiatives.

Success in this Role Looks Like:

  • In the first 90 days: Build a strong understanding of CPH's commercial strategy, products, partnerships, and operating model. Establish relationships across internal teams and external partners. Take ownership of key initiatives and establish greater strategic clarity, accountability, visibility, and execution discipline.
  • In the first 6 months: Independently own a portfolio of commercial initiatives and strategic partnership workstreams. Implement effective project management processes and reporting frameworks. Deliver high-quality analyses and recommendations that influence executive decision-making and drive progress.
  • At the end of your first year: Become a trusted execution partner to the VP of Commercial Innovations & Partnerships and the CPH leadership team. Successfully lead multiple complex initiatives from planning through execution. Strengthen partnership performance, enhance cross-functional execution, and scale the Commercial Innovations & Partnerships function.
You should get in touch if:
  • 6–10 years of experience in healthcare consulting, a healthcare technology company, or a similar execution-focused role in a high-growth healthcare organization.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in Medicare, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, payer-provider dynamics, healthcare operations, and roles such as business operations, program management, partnerships, or cross-functional execution.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities; experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) or dedicated program management role is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of bringing structure, accountability, and execution to complex initiatives.
  • Experience managing external partner or customer relationships, including coordinating meetings, driving follow-ups, and ensuring successful execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in AI tools, Excel, and Google Sheets, including experience building financial models, dashboards, trackers, and other reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready presentations and synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage, value-based care, healthcare operations, and payer-provider dynamics.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results through strong organization, collaboration, communication, and execution rather than formal authority.

  • Financial Well-Being: Our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent begins with a competitive base salary and equity opportunities. Additionally, we offer a performance-based bonus program, 401k matching, and regular compensation reviews to recognize and reward exceptional contributions.
