Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite admitted and non-admitted commercial property and casualty risks by analyzing submissions, determining appropriate coverage terms, and establishing adequate premium levels
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and brokers through ongoing marketing and promotion of Homer’s products and services
• Perform basic on-site risk inspections
• Collaborate effectively with underwriting, operations, and management teams
• Maintain a high level of service and responsiveness to agents, brokers, and carrier partners
• Monthly travel throughout Washington and Oregon to support business development and underwriting activities
