Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products in Colorado is seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to lead estimators, customer service and project management teams. This on-site role in Littleton coordinates across Sales, Engineering, Production and Transportation to ensure on-time, on-budget order fulfillment and exceptional customer experience.

You will develop processes, forecast shipments, manage change orders, and strengthen customer relationships while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • BS degree or equivalent industry experience required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years sales and/or operations management experience in manufacturing, industrial or construction environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and contracts.
  • Strong business and financial acumen that translates to sound, profitable sales, and business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate across multiple levels with contractors, engineers, subs and government officials.

Responsibilities

  • Build & lead distinct team of estimators, customer service representatives, and project lead personnel to effectively process orders, service customers, manage risk, and improve internal processes.
  • Maintain a long-term schedule across all product lines.
  • Develops, implements, and streamlines processes to manage sales orders.
  • Effectively forecast shipments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Review customer purchase orders to ensure compliance with approved price levels, terms and cycle commitments to coordinate hand-off to Project Execution teams.
  • Collaborates with other Oldcastle business units to drive process improvements; specifically act as a liaison between sales & manufacturing to predict demand and drive asset utilization and proactively manage COGs.
  • Works closely with other departments to drive schedule attainment and resolve customer service issues.
  • Proactively minimize, respond to, and negotiate customer back charges.
  • Manages the change order process to minimize scope creep.
  • Assumes overall responsibility to deliver orders on-time and on budget.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Summary

The primary role of the Commercial Operations Manager is to lead a customer-focused commercial team that delivers exceptional customer experience throughout the estimating, order fulfillment, and project execution process. This leader is responsible for developing and managing Estimating, Customer Service and Project Management teams to ensure timely, accurate, and proactive communication with customers while driving operational excellence. The Commercial Operations Manager serves as a key advocate for the customer, partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Transportation teams to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and ensure commitments are met. By fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this role ensures customer expectations are exceeded while supporting business objectives. Additionally, the Commercial Operations Manager works closely with Finance, Credit, and Collections teams to proactively address payment concerns, resolve disputes, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Job Location

This position will be on site at our Littleton, CO facility.

Job Responsibilities

Compensation

  • This role has a base salary range of $90,000 to $110,000/year + 15% annual bonus
  • Vacation hours of two weeks per year
  • Sick leave benefits up to 56 hours per annum
