Job summary

Best-One Tire & Service Inc in Jeffersonville is seeking a Commercial Mechanic to diagnose, maintain and repair commercial vehicles and equipment, with strong preventative maintenance skills. We value reliability, teamwork and pride in workmanship.

Six years of general mechanical experience, including at least 3 years with commercial vehicles and alignments, are preferred. Tools are required; CDL is a plus. Pay is based upon experience.

Qualifications

• Six years of general mechanical work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with commercial vehicles.
• Experience doing commercial vehicle alignments is a must.
• Must have own tools and tool storage.
• CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work including alignments, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, kingpins, fluid changes, and DOT inspections for commercial and light truck applications.
• No engine or transmission work is performed at this facility.
• Provide guidance and training to other team members.
• Help assign jobs and duties to team members.
• Assist with scheduling customer jobs.
• Help motivate team members and keep them on task.
• Maintain and control parts and supplies inventory.
• Track and record work performed and create work orders for customer jobs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of diagnosing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles and equipment and perform preventative maintenance. What you will be doing as a Commercial Mechanic:

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with computer point of sale software is a plus.
• Possessing a CDL is a plus.
