Job summary

All American Facility Maintenance in Sunrise, FL is seeking a Handyman Technician to perform a wide range of commercial maintenance and repair tasks, assess issues, document findings, and determine if repairs can be completed on the first visit.

The role requires thorough hands-on skills, reliability, and clear communication with clients and the office, with opportunities to travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of handyman, facilities maintenance, construction, or related repair experience preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of drywall repair, patching, painting, tile/flooring repairs, doors, hardware, furniture, fixtures, and general commercial maintenance.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and assess repairs independently and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Ability to determine whether work can be completed onsite or requires a quote/return visit.
• Must be able to accurately obtain measurements, quantities, model numbers, material specifications, and other information needed for quoting.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and properly.
• Must be comfortable using a smartphone/tablet to upload photos, enter notes, and manage work orders in Service Fusion or similar software.
• Must have strong communication skills and be able to clearly explain findings to the office and client.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to multiple customer locations throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, kneel, stand, and work for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work occasional nights, weekends, overtime, or out-of-town projects as needed.
• Commercial retail/facilities maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handyman Repairs & Services: drywall patching, painting, flooring, doors, hardware, repairs.
• Assessments & Quoting: obtain information for accurate proposals and take measurements/photos.
• Completion & Checkout: finish repairs, document completion, and clean work area.
• General Expectations: maintain professional communication and safe, independent work habits.
