Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate or Senior Counsel with a minimum of six years of experience. The role may be located at any office, including The Link virtual office, and will primarily support the Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education practice group.

The ideal candidate will hold an active bar license for their state (or commit to obtaining one promptly) and have strong all-phase litigation experience in state and federal courts, with emphasis on complex matters

Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve.

We have an immediate opening for a Commercial Litigation Associate or Senior Counsel with a minimum of six years of experience. We will consider candidates for any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link. This candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education business unit. Candidates should have an active bar license corresponding to the state where they reside or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation, including, but not limited to, conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediations, and communicating with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred, and experience with administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial. Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required. Healthcare litigation experience is also preferred.

The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, superb writing skills, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Judicial clerkship experience with a federal court is preferred but not required.

Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position as an Associate in New York, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. is $260,000-$340,000; in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington is $250,000-$340,000; in Illinois is $235,000-$320,000; and in Minnesota is $235,000-$300,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus.

Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position as a Senior Counsel in New York, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. is $155,000-$350,000; in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington is $170,000-$350,000; in Illinois is $180,000-$340,000; and in Minnesota is $180,000-$300,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
