Qualifications

Job description

Venable LLP's Commercial Litigation Group seeks a junior associate with two to four years of experience to join our practice in the Los Angeles office.

The successful candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills, and outstanding academic credentials. Qualified candidates will have excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, work well in a team, and are prepared to take on significant responsibility in Venable's cases. Candidates will support the California commercial litigation team, whose work includes complex commercial litigation, class action litigation, and public entity litigation.

Participation in marketing and business development activities, including client pitches and presentations are expected. Prior law firm experience is preferred. Candidates must have a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.

The salary range for associate positions is $215,000 to $355,000 per year, depending upon associate level. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
