Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its litigation team in Portland, ME or Concord, NH. The successful candidate will handle diverse matters, conduct in-depth legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery while collaborating with partners on strategy.

Qualified attorneys will have strong writing and oral advocacy, the ability to meet deadlines independently, and be licensed or eligible to waive in Maine and/or New Hampshire.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience managing cases and meeting deadlines independently.
• Licensed to practice in Maine and/or New Hampshire (or ability to waive in) and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage discovery, including depositions and document review.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and mediations.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality legal counsel.
