Job summary

Jobot is seeking a 4+ year Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Boston practice, handling complex business, construction, and employment disputes. You will collaborate with partners and clients to drive strategy in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will independently manage portions of active matters, draft pleadings, and support motions and discovery across industries. Boston-based, on-site role with mentorship and client exposure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience in construction, employment, or complex disputes.
• Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, motions practice, and mediations.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients.
• JD from an accredited law school; Massachusetts Bar admission or waiver eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Represent businesses in a wide range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, and partnership/shareholder litigation
• Handle construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, delay claims, defect claims, and payment disputes
• Defend and prosecute employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour claims, and contract disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions, assist with witness preparation, and support trial and arbitration proceedings
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategy and assess litigation risk
• Work across industries including construction, real estate, technology, finance, and professional services

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and the ability to independently manage portions of active matters while working closely with senior attorneys and clients.
