Job summary

Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company, an affiliate of Western National Mutual Insurance, invites applications for a Commercial Lines Underwriting Intern role in our Summer 2027 Internship Program at the Lansing, MI corporate office. You will work with the Underwriting team on a variety of projects related to writing commercial policies and supporting day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Completed two years of college preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Intermediate experience with Word and Excel required.
• Ability to work onsite at our corporate office in Lansing, MI.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the Commercial Insurance industry, policy formation and agency partnerships.
• Assist with the growth of our Region by ensuring policies are issued correctly.
• Help with ongoing projects that help better serve or insureds and agents.
