You will evaluate, underwrite, and price small to mid-market accounts (Property, General Liability, BOP, Commercial Auto, Workers’ Compensation), deliver reliable service to agency partners, and maintain disciplined risk selection.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial lines coverage, rating, and risk evaluation.
• Ability to analyze exposures, interpret data, and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Industry designations (AU, CPCU, ARM) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions, loss history, financials, and operational exposures to determine appropriate terms and pricing.

• Provide responsive service, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Support agency growth through consistent underwriting execution and market knowledge.
• Manage a growing book of business with accountability for retention and performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, file notes, and rating analyses.
• Identify opportunities for cross-sell, up-sell, and product expansion.
